Grief is a constant companion, come add some tools to your belt to help deconstruct grief.
Learning Objectives:
To define different types of grief, by better understanding grief and naming it we take back that power.
To know how to find local resources, sometimes the desire for help is there but what that help can look like is hard to define. This objective is to give people a base to start from in building their resources if not for themselves than for their co-workers.
To share their stories. Mental health is a tough subject on the best of days. Too often dispatchers don't feel like they have permission to cry and be sad and this object will give them that permission and allow them space to share. By starting those conversations participants can let go of the negativity they've been holding on too or the blame they keep to themselves.
