Lori Henricksen is a nationally recognized leader in 9-1-1 education, training, and workforce development. As the Vice-President 9-1-1 Education for GovWorx, she drives innovation in quality assurance, simulation-based training, and performance coaching through the CommsCoach platform. Lori is also the founder of BX3 Public Safety LLC, where she provides consulting and curriculum design services that empower agencies to strengthen training, morale, and retention.
With more than 30 years of experience in emergency communications, Lori began her career with the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management before joining the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as a 9-1-1 Dispatcher, trainer, and CTO. She later established the award-winning Emergency Telecommunications Program at Veterans Tribute Career & Technical Academy in Las Vegas, one of the nation’s first high-school pathways for future 9-1-1 professionals.
Lori is a certified IAED instructor (ETC-I) and holds EMD, EFD, and EPD certifications. She serves on multiple APCO and NENA committees, including APCO’s Member & Chapter Services and Health & Wellness Committees, and NENA’s Professional Education Workgroup. Her dedication to public safety education has earned her numerous awards, including national recognition from the Next Generation 9-1-1 Institute.
Through her leadership, podcasting, and mentoring, Lori continues to inspire the next generation of emergency communicators by championing innovation, confidence, and wellness across the 9-1-1 profession.
