T’airra Whitis is a public safety leader and organizational change strategist who manages the Emergency Communications Center at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Her work spans systems improvement, technology transformation, and leadership development in high-stakes environments.

As a PhD candidate researching leadership behaviors and workforce sustainability in emergency communications centers, T’airra challenges traditional models and advocates for healthier, more adaptive, and human-centered emergency communication systems.

She is driven by one belief: the future of public safety depends on leaders who know how to build environments where people can do their best work.
