The goal of the course is to provide newcomers with encouragement and assurance that the 9-1-1 public education program can be done effectively.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to identify their role as a 911 public educator and explore tools and resources that support developing or revitalizing public education programs. Participants will examine the age-old question: Can public education be delivered effectively with little to no budget? By the end of the course, they will be able to locate and utilize cost-effective resources that reinforce the importance and impact of 911 public education.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to identify their target audience and understand what that audience expects to gain from 911 public education.
Participants will be able to recognize the importance of time management and understand how scheduling needs may vary based on target audience and availability. This session will also highlight key networking skills and emphasize how effectively using those skills enhances their performance as 911 public educators.
