Emergency Communication Centers are mission driven organizations where financial decisions directly shape service, staffing support, technology reliability, and public safety outcomes. This session provides practical strategies for building and communicating a strong financial plan that aligns with the purpose of your center. We will walk through clear recommendations for budgeting, multi-year planning, contract management, and preparing for grant opportunities. We will also share experiences and lessons learned, openly discuss challenges, and work together to identify practices that strengthen operational readiness and long term sustainability. This is a collaborative space to learn, reflect, and build stronger ECCs together.

At the culmination of this session, participants will be able to describe how financial planning decisions influence staffing support, operational readiness, technology reliability, and service outcomes in their ECC.
