Mike Roskind serves as an Information Security Specialist for Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), National Risk Management Center (NRMC), Space Systems and Services. Mike leads the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) efforts in responding to Executive Order 13905, Responsible Use of Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT). For over 25 years, Mike has supported and collaborated with communications carriers to conduct research and develop alternate timing sources and PNT risk mitigation strategies. Mike has successfully led efforts to coordinate and resolve impacts caused by widespread GPS disruptions, natural disasters, cyber-attacks, and most recently, threats posed by unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and counter-UAS (C-UAS). He was awarded the 2010 Association of Public Safety Communications Officials, International (APCO) President’s Award for leadership in his support of the Haitian Earthquake. Mr. Roskind earned a master's degree from the University of Washington in Strategic Planning for Critical Infrastructures and is a Certified Information Systems Security Specialist through ISC2.
