Heath Brant began his public safety career 25 years ago with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. After more than a decade in corrections in both the public and private sectors, he transitioned to 9-1-1 communications in 2011. Throughout his 9-1-1 career, Heath has served as a Frontline Telecommunicator, Trainer, Supervisor, Deputy Director, and has been the Executive Director of Johnson County Public Safety Communications for nearly nine years and is the current President Elect for the Indiana Chapter of APCO.
Heath is passionate about ensuring that communications is fully integrated into all aspects of public safety training. He strongly advocates for the Emergency Communications Center (ECC) to not only participate in, but also help lead and shape the training that strengthens every component of the public safety response system.
