Jesse McCord serves as an Emergency Communications Manager for the City of Memphis Police Department’s Emergency Communications Bureau, overseeing all 9-1-1 and dispatch operations for one of the largest cities in the Southeast. With more than a decade of experience in public safety communications, he has advanced through the ranks from Police Radio Dispatcher to Supervisor and now Manager, where he also leads the Bureau’s Tactical Communications (TacCom) Team and multiple technology initiatives.
McCord currently serves as the 2nd Vice President of the Tennessee Chapter of APCO International (TN APCO), where he supports statewide professional development, advocacy, and outreach efforts for 9-1-1 professionals. He is an APCO Certified Public-Safety Executive (CPE), Registered Public-Safety Leader (RPL), and NENA Emergency Number Professional (ENP). An alumnus of the Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS) Emergence Program and graduate of NENA’s Center Manager Certification Program (CMCP), Jesse is passionate about leadership development, tactical communications, and innovative engagement strategies that elevate the public safety profession.
