Jeremy Sparks is an Emergency Communications Supervisor with the Howard County Police Department – Communications Division (911) in Howard County, Maryland, and serves as Chairperson of the agency’s Training Committee. With more than 17 years of dispatch experience and over two decades in public safety—including Fire/EMS and Emergency Management—Jeremy brings a broad operational perspective to the field of emergency communications. A National Pro Board–certified instructor, Jeremy is passionate about developing innovative training programs that strengthen dispatcher performance, teamwork, and decision-making under pressure. His work focuses on practical, field-driven training strategies that improve communication, collaboration, and operational effectiveness within the 911 profession. Jeremy is also actively involved in statewide initiatives supporting the future of emergency communications, including participation in the Maryland State ECC Planning and Training Workgroup, where he collaborates with peers to advance training standards and professional development across Maryland’s 911 community.
