Stephanie King, RPL, Supervisor with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, began her career as a Public Safety Telecommunicator in 2019. She was promoted to Training Officer in 2021 and advanced to Supervisor in 2026. She is an APCO-certified Training Officer and Supervisor, as well as a Certified Instructor, and is committed to ongoing professional development.
In 2025, Stephanie completed the Registered Public-Safety Leader (RPL) program with a focus on legislation, reflecting her strong interest in advocacy and policy development within the 911 profession. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Florida APCO Pro-CHRT Committee, where she actively supports initiatives that elevate and strengthen the role of 911 professionals.
Stephanie brings a unique perspective shaped by her prior experience working for a judge, which enhanced her understanding of state statutes and the legislative process. Deeply connected to public safety both professionally and personally, she is the proud mother of two boys—one of whom serves in law enforcement—and the sister of a first responder.
In addition to her career, Stephanie has been a dedicated volunteer with Scouting America since 2013, demonstrating her long-standing commitment to service and community.
