Michael Newburn is part of AT&T FirstNet’s Mission Critical Product team, where he leads interoperability strategy, expands the MCPTT ecosystem, and drives ROIP adoption within Fusion. He collaborates across product, sales, and operations to integrate partner technologies, scale LMR–LTE interoperability, and support Fusion Link onboarding, including diverse backhaul provisioning.
A recognized leader in public safety interoperability, Michael drives initiatives that accelerate the transition from legacy narrowband systems to broadband LTE. He aligns product strategy, technical architecture, and policy frameworks with mission objectives—enabling seamless, interoperable communications across agencies and jurisdictions.
With over 30 years of experience spanning the wireless and 9-1-1 industries across both government and private sectors, Michael is known for translating complex operational requirements into scalable, real-world solutions. His expertise includes LMR–LTE interoperability, FirstNet integration, and mission-critical communications transformation.
