Matt Grogan has spent more than 20 years in public safety communications, serving in 9-1-1 centers throughout the Chicagoland area and Las Vegas. His experience spans center operations, management, fire dispatching, and critical incident response, including his pivotal role during the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting—one of the most significant critical incidents in recent U.S. history.
After transitioning to the private sector in 2022, Matt led the Telecommunicator CPR (T-CPR) program at RQI Partners, Inc. and provided subject matter expertise for Mission Critical Partners. For the past five years, he has also served as an instructor with the Denise Amber Lee Foundation, raising the standard of training for 9-1-1 professionals nationwide. In 2025, he became the Foundation’s Director of Program Development, overseeing all programs, quality assurance services, and national advocacy efforts.
Matt is a certified Emergency Number Professional (ENP) and holds multiple credentials in public safety leadership, emergency medical dispatch quality assurance, emergency management, and customer success. Driven by a deep commitment to the 9-1-1 profession, he remains dedicated to equipping dispatchers with the training, tools, and recognition they need to serve their communities at the highest level.
