Senior Public Safety Advisor First Responder Network Authority
This session will introduce attendees to the newly released "Standard Talkgroup Nomenclature Framework for Public Safety Broadband", a collaborative effort developed by CISA, SAFECOM, NCSWIC, and the FirstNet Authority. The framework establishes a standardized approach to naming MCPTT groups, supporting improved interoperability and coordination across public safety agencies using broadband-based voice communications. Representatives from each contributing organization will share their unique perspectives on the development process, the urgency behind establishing this framework now, and its long-term implications for public safety communications.
