With more than 34 years of dedicated public safety service, Denese Moore, RPL, has built a career defined by operational excellence, leadership, and a deep commitment to developing others. Throughout an entire career at Valley Com 911, Denese has progressed through every level of the communications center, beginning as a Call Taker and advancing through roles including Dispatcher, Lead Dispatcher, Backup Supervisor, Supervisor I, Supervisor II, and most recently, Operations Manager, a position held for the past two years.
A recognized trainer and presenter, Denese has delivered instruction on Recognizing and Preventing Workplace Violence and Succession Planning to more than 300 public safety personnel across the region. This includes presenting at the 2019 Washington APCO-NENA conference, where these sessions met with engagement from public safety professionals.
As Denese looks ahead to retirement in the next three years, the focus remains on coaching, mentoring, and preparing the next generation of leaders. Ensuring that supervisors are confident, capable, and ready to step into expanded roles, ultimately including the Operations Manager position, is a personal and professional priority. Leaving a strong legacy of leadership, growth, and service is at the heart of this next chapter.
