Monica Harkins is the Assistant Director or Public Information for Louisville Metro Emergency Services, where she leads strategic communications, media relations, and community engagement for the city’s 911 system. A two time Emmy Award–winning news anchor and reporter, she brings nearly a decade of storytelling experience to the world of emergency communications, using her background in clear, compelling reporting to elevate the work of first responders and strengthen the connection between the community and the professionals behind the headset.
