Mary Cooperman

Mary Cooperman is a certified 911 dispatcher (CTO) with almost eight years of experience at the Metropolitan Nashville Department of Emergency Communications (MNDEC) and an active member of the Telecommunicator Emergency Response Team (TERT). As a parent of children with special needs, she brings a unique, firsthand perspective on balancing the demands of high-stress shift work with the realities of family life.

Passionate about wellness, resilience, and fostering a strong team culture, Mary is committed to supporting her peers both professionally and personally. Through candid storytelling, practical strategies, and a touch of humor, she offers an authentic look at what it takes to thrive on the radios and phones while maintaining balance at home.
